- Aunt Betty died in a Las Vegas area hospital. She had been unwell and was scheduled for surgery but succumbed to an infection.

- busy with school assignments. Went to Hunterston B nuclear power station in Ayrshire with class. Also to a Wind Power consultancy place and a wind farm.

- Meggie gets a new blacksmith.

The 80th volume of my journal, from a bit over 10 years ago... more news from January 2011:

- babysit Adam, who is 2 months old at the end of January. A good little baby. Sleeps when he is supposed to, doesn't make fussy faces very much and only cries when he wants to give us a signal that it's time for his bottle. Enjoys the Gruffalo.

- got a New Years message from Dad. He announces he and Darlene are to be married in April.

- I am in the middle of my Master's Degree programme at the University of Glasgow Crichton Campus studying Carbon Management.

A few posts ago, I posted some doodles from the mid '80's I did in a school notebook. I was just perusing the internet and found a yeasthead comic strip... Which I had based my doodles on... characters from that UMass student comic strip had become something I would draw while fighting boredom in class.
